Now more than ever, we need a generation of digital missionaries on the mission field!
I am raising support to develop media to serve orphans and those with disabilities!
In 2019, my journey began as a freelance videographer for Renewal Missions, but my dream to serve as a media missionary started in college. God had placed a strong desire in my heart to use my professional graphic designer and filmmaker skills to develop media content to share the Gospel to reach all nations.
With God's guidance, I was able to serve and grow my skills with various non-profits that were committed and passionate about using digital media as a way to share the Gospel. I saw that there was a lack of professional creative skills in the mission field wherever I went, but the desire was there. Fast forward to today, it's clear to see that God has a bigger plan for the digital space.
Why is Media Important for Missions?
Storytelling is simply about how we can share the love of Jesus with others. Now more than ever, digital media is so influential and crucial to how people learn, grow, and see the world. Doesn't it make sense then that we as missionaries and ambassadors for Christ are in actively involved digital spaces?
The Impact of Media
For the past 6 years, I've had the privilege of working and collaborating with Christian creatives globally to make children's books, produce short documentary films, and develop creative ways to teach vulnerable children about God's love.
I've produced and directed two films, Orphan Care in Shanghai (2021) and There's No Place Like Family (2022) on the importance of the church in supporting children without families and the struggles that each country faces systemically with orphanhood.

Last year, I produced my very first children's book, The Adventures of Puteri Lilin, and distributed almost 1,000 copies globally in Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the US thanks to the help of numerous supporters. It's inspiring to see the impact that a book can have on a child. The wonder and excitement of the possibilities that God can do with media are endless.
A Prayer For God to Do MORE!
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. - Ephesians 3:14-21
To provide more sustainable opportunities for long-term partnership with our supporters we are moving towards building individual support teams for each of our staff at Renewal Missions. I'm grateful for the support of brothers and sisters in Christ thus far and hope that this will be an opportunity for others to join the work of God's Kingdom!
