Christmas Outreach 2024

We’re bringing the Gospel and gift boxes to three orphanages and the local community of our friends at Esperanza, a discipleship center this Christmas. We'll be gathering gift boxes for vulnerable children in Tijuana with our local church partners, and personally delivering these gifts on day trips throughout the month of December.

We have three phases of our Christmas Outreach, through which you can participate as little or as much as you would like. This whole program is no small feat and is our biggest program of the year. We need your help to reach our year-end fundraising goal of $10,000 to cover all three phases of the program!

• This amount covers all expenses for all three phases of our program, as well as love offerings for the orphanages and Esperanza.
• Any excess funds will be additional financial support for our friends at Esperanza.

Please prayerfully consider financially supporting our ministry! If you are interested in serving with us this Christmas, here are the following ways you can serve with us:

Phase 1: Collection

We’re collecting 175 gift boxes for each individual child this Christmas. You can sign up to pack a gift box below. We recommend packing these into small plastic containers that the kids can reuse, along with a suggested $20 donation each box to support the entire program. This small donation goes towards putting together the entire Christmas program, including the Packing Day event, the three day trips in December, food for the children, love offering for the orphanages, administrative costs, etc. You can make your donation at www.renewalmissions.com under "Christmas Outreach 2024".

To sign up for the gift box:

1. Click the link, and click “Get tickets” under “Free”.
2. You’ll see the available selection to pack boxes by gender and age groups. You may sign up to pack as many boxes as you want, and in as many categories as you would like.
3. Once all the boxes are selected, click “Register” and fill out the contact information.
4. If there are multiple line items for multiple registered boxes, you can simply put your name in all the slots.
5. Once finished, you can click “Register” and you should receive an email confirmation shortly with all the instructions and guidelines for how to pack a gift box.

Boxes are due on or before Packing Day, 11/9! Please be sure to bring them or arrange with Karen (karenxie@renewalmissions.org) to make sure you can drop the boxes off the week of. If you’re unable to pack a box but want to donate toys to fill boxes, contact Karen.

Phase 2: Packing and Praying

On 11/9, from 2PM to 4PM, we’ll be gathering for Packing Day to help organize, sort, and pray over the gift boxes before we transport them down to Tijuana. We’ll check through each of the gift boxes to make sure all items are appropriate for the age group and label them all for the designated orphanage, and sort through the necessities and distribute them to designated orphanages. Finally, we’ll pray over all the boxes before packing them for transportation. We need lots of volunteers to help us accomplish all these tasks!

Packing Day will be at Chinese Evangelical Church of San Diego from 2PM to 4PM. Address listed below and light refreshements will be provided.

Phase 3: Delivery

We’ll be going down to Tijuana for three separate day trips to hand deliver these gift boxes and run a short Christmas program of crafts and activities with the kids to develop meaningful and Christ-centered relationships with the kids. The day trip dates are 12/6, 12/13, and 12/20. Deadline to apply is 10/20. Please contact Karen at karenxie@renewalmissions.org for more information.

We are so excited to be able to celebrate Christmas with these children and bring you along with us to love them through God who Loved us first. God has provided in so many amazing ways for our ministry and we have faith that He will continue to provide. We hope that we can serve with you all as one united body of Christ this Christmas!
